We all have an unconscious fear of death. Some of us are more aware of it than others. Yet we live our lives as if there is no end in sight. And when we do accidentally stumble upon a thought that reminds us of our mortality, we distract ourselves to avoid the discomfort and anxiety that comes along with the thought of our inevitable demise.
I first experienced death through the loss of my grandfather ten years ago.
I don't know why but I was shaken to my core. I couldn't sleep, I couldn't rest, until I knew what had happened to him. Here lies his lifeless body but where did he go?
My religious beliefs until that point said that when we die, we either go to Heaven or Hell based on whether our good deeds outweighed our bad deeds.
This was our only chance in life and if we got it wrong, too bad. You get to burn in Hell for all eternity.
From a young age I just knew that couldn't be it. It sounded silly to me. Why would God create me just to test me and then punish me? It didn't make sense.
On my epic journey of seeking and discovery, I found a book that would forever change my life. It was old and worn out. There was no cover and the pages were torn and browning. But what the author wrote was pure magic!
It was a near-death experience memoir. The author described in vivid detail how she had died and went to Heaven. She recalled an unconditional love that enveloped her and oozed out of her. A vibration she wad part of. She talked about seeing past loved ones and the life-changing conversations she had with God and other ascended masters. She dissolved my limiting beliefs by explaining how God is all loving, and there is no judgement from him. That we all are a part of him. The Eternal oneness, that's our home.
I remember being in shock. For days I was stunned by my discovery. I could think of nothing else but the words in that book. I felt an obsession come over me. An obsession to learn more, know more and share everything I've learned with others who are crippled by the fear of death just like I was.
And that's what I've been doing. But I am most proud about our latest project. A compilation of life-altering near-death experiences written by fourteen amazing authors who have died and come back to share their experiences with us.
In our book - Death, you will read about Sharon who was struck by lightning multiple times, El and Gianina who died from sepsis, Kathryn who died from sleep apnea, Jennifer who died as result of medication treating her cancer, Phil who died on the dentist chair and more incredible stories.
You will be surprised and delighted by what they each have to share, their messages from beyond and their experiences of the other side.
Learning about death, and the other side through near-death experiences have helped me and others release fear of death and dying, dissolve limiting beliefs picked up by religious upbringing and process grief of losing loved ones.
